Hello, thank you much for the great instruction videos . I just finished my very first garment and am very pleased how it turned out. I am new to the sewing world and these videos made it possible for me to tip toe into garment sewing. Please continue these videos . I would of paid to have this help. Thanks again. Will always check your patterns/video assistance first:
So great to hear, thank you! We've got a pretty good selection of videos and are in the process of filming more tutorials and sew-alongs for the future. You can subscribe to our channel to can get a notification when they go live!
I have to say I am impressed by this video series. Apart from an occasional shot obscured by fingers, the instructions are really clear. Previously this type of placket was my nemesis. I followed the instructions to a t - on a practice piece - have annotated my own copy of the pattern instructions and am about to go for the real thing. Thank you - will be browsing other pattern instructions - with positive vibes for grainline studio. Guess that’s part of the plan ;-)
Thanks! Definitely try to keep my fingers out of the way but since it's a free series I can't afford to hire a cameraperson. The camera is right between me and the machine!
Every time you do one they get easier! You can also practice a few by cutting some extra placket pieces and just slicing the placket line into some scrap fabric
So far you are the best that explains, but ... sadly when it come to the the tricky part of the point your fingers hide what y have so much trouble to do. 😞 But thanks anyway 🌹
Thanks for the clear explanation but when you arrive at the part where you need to "barely catch the point" your hand is in the way we can't see where/ how you sew that middle bit.

I really appreciate this clearly presented information and demonstration. I’ll definitely look up your other technique videos!
So glad you've enjoyed them!
So helpful, thank you! Made this step so much easier having seen you sew it too 👍🏻
So glad to hear!
Thank you for sharing all these details. Just like the previous tutorials, this is so informative and well-made.
Glad you like them!
Thank you. That was a challenge but I think mine came out okay. Who knew those plackets were so tricky. 🤪

Which part is it you have problems with specifically?

@@suukii99 Thanks for the timestamp. I'm hoping to film a stand alone video for continuous plackets soon so I'll keep this in mind!
How can I make a smaller [less deep !) cuff please , do I just cut a smaller piece ?
Yep, all you have to do is make the piece narrower!
That sleeve placket technique is wow. And great explanation thank you.
